Successful bridal beauty isn’t improvised on the morning of the big day: it’s prepared over several weeks. Here’s the countdown we recommend to our brides-to-be at OLM Beauty Rabat.
2 to 3 months before: color and repair
This is the time for coloring or a balayage — never at the last minute, to leave time to adjust the shade in a second session if needed. If your hair is weakened, start a damaged hair treatment cure for a healthy fibre on the big day.
1 month before: straightening and hair trial
Brazilian straightening is done 3 to 4 weeks before: early enough for the result to set, close enough for a perfect shine on the day. It’s also the time for the hair trial: we test the updo or curls with your accessory (tiara, veil) to leave nothing to chance.
1 week before: nails and finishing touches
- Nails: get your manicure and nail art 2 to 3 days before — a gel polish or BIAB holds perfectly until the honeymoon.
- Brows: reshaping one week before (never the day before, to avoid redness).
- Facial: a glow facial 5 to 7 days before, not the night before.
The day before: rest
Nothing new the day before (no harsh treatment, no color). Good sleep, hydration, and prepare your things.
The big day: hair and makeup
Plan 2 to 3 hours for the beauty session: hairstyle (updo, held curls, accessories) then long-wear makeup. Book your slot well in advance — Saturdays in wedding season fill up fast.
